Artisan, Courtney Peterson hand tooled sterling silver and gold plate Monarch butterfly pin. The body in the center is gold plate. Courtney started making jewelry in 1966 and she continues today. This pin has a bail on the back if you wish to wear it on a chain. This particular size and style of sells on her site today for $120.00 (for the sterling and gold plate version, which is the same as this one)

It measures 2 1/4" across the top of the wings and 1 3/4" to the bottom of the wings. Lovely stamp detailing. Signed by Courtney in script on the upper wing and Sterling on the other wing. It weighs 10.8 grams. Excellent shape.

Her pieces will only continue to increase in value.
