Genuine Buprestidae Beetle Pin Entomology

Vintage Gilded Genuine Buprestidae Beetle Pin that has an Egyptian flair.

This is an actual beetle. From what I can find on the net, it is a Buprestidae beetle also known as a wood-boring beetle.

The colors are astonishing. Beautiful iridescent green and blue.

It measures 1 1/2" long. I read that these settings are gold plated, but I have no idea if this one is.

He has a little nip on the back side of his wings. No big whoop. Sold as is and all sales are final.
